BIG BOY!!!
I have always been a bit of a worry wart so if I have any new gray hair it's from this little man! Not quite in complete control of his bike yet he still feels he needs to go as fast as he can! I have had at least 20 mini heart attacks this weekend! He has taken years off of my life I am sure of it!! Rob has told me that I am no longer allowed to stand outside and watch him ride up and down the street, because I will start cutting into our retirement, golfing, traveling years!

TFT: TALENT
Short and sweet today because I have to run but....
Thought for Thursday:
Now, I am sure some of you actually have wonderful talents... I however, was born with none!
So, if I could have been born with a talent, it would have been an incredible voice!! I love to sing! I love music! I memorize words to songs so easily and would love to just be able to belt one out on a whim, or even sing a lullaby to my kiddos without them covering their ears!
What would yours be.....

THOUGHT FOR THURSDAY - THE HUMAN HIBERNATION INSTINCT
Today's TFT:LOL!!! I know that sounds so funny but, think about it. Back in the day... before electricity & natural gas kept the lights and heat on all day... what did humans do when it was freezing cold out? I think they slept! I think they curled up in a little ball together and said "Screw that! I ain't goin' out there!"
I find that in the winter I am way tired, and I have way less energy. So I was thinking about this today because it is like 30 degrees and snowing and I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to start my day! I didn't have any desire to leave the warm comfort of my bed, and it took about 3 cups of coffee and a good hour and a half to wake up!
However, on Saturday of last weekend it was like 70-something degrees and I woke up early, and got ready to go before I had even had one cup of coffee! That day I totally kicked butt with yardwork and housecleaning. I can honestly say that I haven't done much since it started snowing on Sunday afternoon, and I have to have something to blame this laziness on!!
So I am going to blame the natural human hibernation instinct for the fact that it is 11:00 in the morning, I have had 5 cups of coffee now, and I still want a nap!
Maybe I can do some research and get doctors to diagnose people like me with this syndrome! Only instead of just simply perscribing me a nap they will probably make up some kind of medicine for it that can cause things like elephantitis of the big toe, heart attacks, and irritable bowel syndrome......

TASTY TUESDAY - A TASTE OF HOME
Sometimes we have friends over or go to friends house, but it’s always a big meal.
This Sunday I cooked up a little “Taste of Home”. Home being my Oma’s (German for grandma) house where I spent the better part of my life. She is full German and from a little town in Germany called Bad Windsheim. Growing up with her I ate German food all the time. When I was little, I did not love it. But as I grew older I grew to appreciate it more, and now I miss it. She is over 80 now, and still working so it’s not often that I get one of her home cooked meals. Since I have my own family now, I have asked for her recipes and I do my best to cook them the way she did. Although, it's just not the same.
The meal I picked to cook for my family this Sunday is one of my favorites and one that reminds me of both my Oma and summer.Enjoy the recipes!
6 slices bacon
3/4 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup distilled white vinegar

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until
